2023-24

1. Title: Fostering The Holistic Development of Students Through The 'Kranti Utstav'

Objectives:

Foster holistic development, raise awareness about sports, tree plantation, gender equality, and health.

Context:

Celebrated from 2nd to 13th September 2023, 'Kranti Utsav' honors late Bhai Tukaram Kolekar and current president Advocate Hemant Kolekar. It includes numerous programs and social service initiatives.

Practice:

In 2023-24, ten programs were organized: Marathon, Fruit Distribution, Personality Development Workshops, Women's Programs, Tree Plantation, Elocution and General Knowledge Competitions, Free Eye Camp, National Education Policy Workshop, and Prize Distribution Ceremony.

Evidence of Success:

Programs fostered holistic student development and a sense of social responsibility.

 

2. Title: EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH DIVERSE ACTIVITIES

Objectives: 

Increase access to education/training for girls and women; promote women's leadership; eliminate gender-based violence/discrimination; foster gender equality.

Context:

Gender inequality limits women's potential and hinders progress. Challenges in accessing education, healthcare, and economic opportunities persist. Empowering women is essential for sustainable development.

Practice:

TKKS College organizes programs to develop women's personality and awareness. The ICC addresses grievances, ensuring safety. Initiatives include talent showcases, entrepreneurship development, health awareness, lectures, combating violence, and Women's Day celebrations.

Success:

Leads to improved health and social stability, fostering holistic development.

 


3.Title: Cultivating a Sustainable Campus Through Green Initiatives

Objectives:

Foster environmental responsibility, create a healthier campus, and empower students as environmental stewards.

Context:

Educational institutions impact the environment significantly. Green initiatives address these concerns while educating future generations.

Practice:

TKKC implements various programs: energy-efficient lighting, rainwater harvesting, reusable materials, sustainable transportation, green landscaping, integrating sustainability in curricula, and campus engagement events like No Vehicle Day.

Evidence of Success:

Reduced energy and water consumption, increased recycling, higher student participation in green initiatives, positive feedback, and external recognition for sustainability efforts.

2022-23

1. Title of the Practice : Help Students To Develop Holistic Personality Through Diverse Activities

2. Objectives of the Practice:
i) To help students to develop Holistic personality
ii) To impart diverse knowledge to the students

3. The Practice: Student life is an investment for future life.  The education, life-skills and values  acquired during this period play a vital role in their future life.  Keeping this  in mind, every act of the college is carried out with the aim of making all-round progress of the students.  Accordingly various programs are implemented in the college which play an important role in the personality development of the students.  The various programs conducted include visit to Incense Stick Industry, Rajmata Jijau Jayanti, Competitive Examinations and leadership development and the like various programs were organized throughout the year.

 4. Evidence of Success : These multi-disciplinary programs broadened the knowledge horizons of the students and enabled them to coordinate their personal and public life.  They were guided  how to develop personality while maintaining social consciousness.  As a result of conducting of all these programs,  confidence of students was awakened.

 5. Problems Encountered: 1. Difficulties in implementing the programs in time.

 

2021-22

'Increasing GER of Girl Students'- A Distinctive Performance

Being situated in rural hilly area the college is designed distinctively to serve as a platform of education for the rural community comprising mostly of socially backward and economically weak learners. To bring married girls student in the process of education through increasing their Girl Enrollment Ratio (GER).

The fact:

The girls students getting married after 12th have to leave their education. Due to the pressure of their parents, neighbors & the rustic traditional approach of the society they cannot continue their education. They have to leave Education after 12th or in between UG course The practiceIn view of the inclusion of married girl students excluded from the education process, we formed one team under the Headship of Prof. S. B. Chougule. The team works on -

1. To list of married girl students, who left their education in between Ist year to final year graduation.with full adress

2. In parent visit getting their new address and contact numbers viz. the husbands address and contact number.

3. Meeting with husband or his family members (father/mother in laws) and explain our motto.

4. Convincing them for restarting the education of married girl student.

5. Furnish all essential formalities and an inclusion of married girl students in the process of higher education.

The success-

we have a good number of GER of married girl students on Roll.

The path ahead -

It is our vision that no one should remain away from graduation due to economic, social and traditional reasons.

Conclusion -

In such a way our institution trying to maintain its distinctiveness .
